Where I go, we go…together we rise.
The U.S. culture has a different way of expressing and practicing communion in both professional and familial community. West African values are centered around ideals, language, and practices that don’t have a U.S. equivalent.
LBS taught us in a way that augments our cultural strengths in an ethically potent way while also preparing us to explore and implement solutions in any industry. Gathering is more than a lively get-together. We gather to see the best of ourselves reflected in each other and learn how we can collaborate towards our shared goals.
The U.S. chapter’s nascent efforts allow us to be flexible and nimble in how we design and implement the new standards for gathering. There’s nothing we can’t try - from virtual calls to regional meet ups at national conferences - we are the best Africa has to offer. The African way has gotten us this far. Let’s give America the platform to show ‘em what we’re made of.
The place you’ll always belong.
